Buddy Rogers Releases Statement on Boozman’s Entry Into Senate Race Buddy Rogers released the following statement following Congressman John Boozman’s entry into the race for the Republican nomination for US Senate: “I ran for the Senate because I believed that the other candidates either lacked the experience the position requires or were unlikely to be servant-leaders committed to restoring Constitutionally limited government. However, with Congressman John Boozman’s entry into the race, we now have a candidate who meets those criteria. John is exceptionally well prepared to represent Arkansas in the U.S. Senate: he has proven to be an effective advocate and coalition builder for conservative legislation during five House terms, his character is impeccable, and his actions are shaped by his deep love for Arkansas and the United States, his profound understanding of this exceptional nation, and his humility before God. “Today, I withdraw my name from consideration for senator and whole-heartedly endorse John Boozman. I will work in any way I can for his nomination and election. “To my supporters, I offer humble thanks for the time, energy, and money they have given so generously on my behalf. As I have crossed the state and met with thousands of voters, I have been gratified by the enthusiasm people have had for my vision.
